Features & Benefits
- From birth
- Suitable as sole food or supplementary food
- To support allergies in the family
Breast milk is best for a baby in the first six months of life – it is especially important for the mother to breastfeed if possible, for at least the first 4 months of life if there is a family history of allergies (hay fever, neurodermatitis, food intolerance, etc.). If this is not possible or only partially possible, HiPP PRE Hypoallergenic (HA) Combiotik® Infant Formula can be offered from birth as the only food or as a supplementary food.
HiPP Pre HA Combiotik® contains low-allergen protein, which is protein that is broken down into very small building blocks. This allows the body to process it better and thus reduces the risk of a milk protein allergy.
This formula also contains natural lactic acid cultures, fiber, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Since lactose is the only carbohydrate in this food, you can feed it as needed (like breast milk).
Important information about HiPP PRE HA Combiotik® infant formula:
- In general, breast milk and breastfeeding are best for your baby, regardless of a family history of allergies. Discuss this in advance with a medical professional (hospital, paediatrician, obstetrician or lactation consultant) if breastfeeding is not or only partially possible.
- HiPP PRE HA Combiotik® is not suitable for babies in whom an existing allergy to cow’s milk protein has already been established or where such an allergy is suspected.
- HiPP PRE HA Combiotik® contains galactooligosaccharides (GOS) – this can lead to softer stools when switching from breast milk or another infant formula to this product.

Preparations
Dosage: Please follow the dosing table carefully. However, if your baby can’t finish every bottle with every meal, don’t force your baby to finish it. The stated amount is only a guideline and may vary. Only use the measuring spoon included in the package to measure the powder. One measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 4.3 g HiPP PRE HA COMBIOTIK® or 30 ml water.
- Freshly boil the water required for each feeding and let it cool to 40 – 50 °C. Fill 2/3 of the required amount of water according to the dosing table into a clean and sterilized bottle. It is best to check the temperature with a thermometer. Here’s a tip if you don’t have a thermometer: if you can almost hold the bottle in your hand, the temperature is right. If the water is too cold, the powder will not dissolve properly; if it is too hot, the valuable natural lactic acid cultures (lactobacilli) can be destroyed.
- Take the amount of powder indicated in the dosing table from the package with the measuring spoon provided.
- Fill the measuring spoon loosely and wipe off the excess powder (on the squeegee edge in the package or with the back of a knife).
- Add the powder to the water in the bottle. Close tightly and shake vigorously. Open the bottle and add the remaining third of the boiled water. Close again and shake again until the powder is completely dissolved.
- Let the mix cool down to lukewarm before feeding your baby (approx. 37°C – check carefully).
